Hiya

In the last couple of weeks, we have had quite a few morning wake-ups (at the usual time) when DS has wet through the nappy, onto his pjs and sometimes even through to his sleepsack. The nappies seem to be leaking out of the top as he's a tummy sleeper.
I tried switching from Treasures to Huggies for the night sleeps and no difference.
We have pocket nappies too and same result even with four liners.

Any suggestions for other options? Poor wee boy, I'm not sure why he doesn't wake up when it happens but most of the time it still feels warm so it must be happening not long before he wakes up for the day.

Thanks heaps for any ideas.

ETA: pocket nappies

This sounds exactly like me wee fellow. The last 4 or 5 nights I have had him in nappypants with no leaks. I think it is because they are elasticated across the top of the front so stay firm against him all night.

I think they may be a little more expensive than normal nappies, but we only use them at night because we are in cloth during the day.

(DS never wakes from the wet either - I think it stays nice and warm with him lying on top of it all).

For my tummy sleeping girls I used boys huggies in the next size up for at nighttime only.

Could you put a pocket nappy over top of a huggies? Or else those old fashioned plasticky pants that they used to put over flat cloth nappies?

DS used to do the same thing, I even tried a sposie with nappy cover and insert over top, I then decided to try bitty boos at night and we no longer had leaks, it was so frustrating up until then though

We used to have this problem too.
Either Huggies next size up. Or add a cloth booster to your disposable nappy.

I had this problem for a bit/ If i went up a size he leaked around the legs so I use to put one of my Itti's inserts into the huggies nappy and use it that way. No more leaks!

Try two nappies! It works a treat... the second nappy can also sometimes be used in the morning if it isn't too wet I also went up a nappy size, but had to be really careful how I closed them up!

We've been having the same problem. A friend recommended I buy some Fluffies. These are pants which go over nappies. You can get them at Baby Factory.

Or I found that cutting down on the amount of water baby has at dinner sometimes helps.

Our baby has slept on her tummy since 4 months. We were up at 2am this morning to change a wet nappy.

I highly recommend two flat nappies in some sort of cover. Our boy would hold all night & then wee just as he woke up and this is what would contain the wee.

BONUS though is if he's weeing just before waking, if you hear him stir, get him up, pop him on the potty & he'll wee there

Huggies - buy the next size up. Worked a treat for us.
