Topic: Full moon??? Posted: 17 June 2011 at 2:20pm |
Has anyone noticed your kids don't sleep well around a full moon? I've just googled it and looks like there's no real evidence that it can affect their sleep, but I've just looked at the last 3 months and every month DD hasn't slept well around the full moon.
Last night was quite possibly the worst night's sleep she's had ever. She's a good sleeper normally and will sleep 11-12 hours straight. Last night she was inconsolable and as soon as I put her down she would start screaming again. There's nothing else wrong, no signs of teething, she's over her cold and she wasn't too hot or cold. Nothing else had changed at bedtime. If she does wake in the night, it's usually because she's lost her comfort bunny, she has a quick cuddle and goes back to sleep. Not last night though!
Just curious really to see if anyone else experienced the same.

I have to disagree although DD has been a bit restless the last maybe 4 nights but she had her imms so putting it down to that. Hasn't seemed to bother her before.

Its a strange thing up there in the sky, of course its going to affect us all somehow!
Yeah alot of people also go into labour during the full moon so the hospitals are a but fuller.

It messes ours up too, but its also colder around a full moon, and lighter so that probably has something to do with it.
When I was nursing old people, it would make them crazy.

DD2 isn't obviously affected, but DD1 definitely was/is (by a new moon and a full moon), I almost printed out the lunar calender to put on the fridge . But DD1 was born on a full moon, and is a Cancer - water sign - and apparently those with the moon in Cancer are very affected
Yep it does make the crazies, crazier - that's where the word 'lunatic' comes from .
