Topic: Thank you cards Posted: 25 April 2011 at 7:47pm |
Hey girls,
I'm interested in finding out what you did for thank you cards after baby was born.
Last time I just brought plain cards and printed a photo at Warehouse stationary to stick on each card.
Does anyone have a nice economical way of doing something similar?

I just bought some card and designed them on the computer using a digital photo. Well, that was the first lot - I got half-way through, then left the last ones for a while, and realised I'd better get them out quick-smart, so I just bought some ready-made cards to finish off.

I used PhotoMaxing. You use a digital photo and you can design them online and they post them out to you. There's heaps of choice and it wasn't too expensive - I think it was about $35 for 24 cards but that included really nice envelopes. I think there was a discount code in the new baby pack I got at the birthing centre when DS was born, so it ended up being less than that.

I did ours from Vistaprint, not the cheapest, but awesome designs and quality.

I got blank thank you cards and stuck a photo of DS in the inside, mostly because i tried to take a picture of him with/in whatever they gave him and include that.
I think sending a thank you card in itself is pretty genius, it was amazing how many people rang to thank me for thanking them and said it doesnt happen often!

On the other hand, Bowie, I was told off by a certain lady for not sending a thank-you fast enough... She is a bit of a funny chicken, though.
