Has anyone had some jewellery remodelled? I have a citrine stone which I would like made into a silver ring. I just would like to know an approximate cost. I also have a gold sapphire ring that I would like to be made silver somehow.

Any ideas on how much it will set me back? Would be good to get an idea before going round all the jewellers.

i was going to get a ring made, I think the cost was about 500 for 9ct gold, not including stones so I'd imagine silver would be cheaper

I got an opal set in a gold 9ct band - cost me $250 I think.

No idea about silver though but bound to be cheaper.

Having worked for a jeweller for over 7 years I'd reccoemend gettign actual quotes. Not only do you need to take into account the cost of the metal on the day, there also needs to be taken into consideration the setting and time taken to make it. A hand made peice is usually quite a bit more expensive than an off the shelf type becasue of the handcrafting that goes into it. You won't regret paying more for something personal that you had made! Go for it!
