Topic: How Many BFs @ 7 Months? Posted: 10 November 2010 at 3:12pm |
Hi there,
Just curious as to how many boob feeds your bubba has/had at around 7 months.
I think/hope we're just coming to an en of 2 months of terrible day sleeps and he seems to be slipping into a new kind of routine. I weaned him off his swaddle a couple of weeks ago which has had the side effect of him waking early, so his days are going something along the lines of:
wake 6am - boob, play, spoon fed porridge (huge bowl!) play, boob
nap 8.30am
wake 10am - boob, play, lunch (finger foods), play, boob
nap 12.30pm
wake 2pm - boob, play, boob
nap 4pm
wake 5pm - tea (spoon fed), play, book, bath, boob, bed at 6.30pm
It works for us at the moment, but just curious as to how much other bubbas are having to eat and drink.
Roo has THE biggest bowl of porridge in the morning, but doesn't eat much at lunch or tea. He used to eat heaps at tea time, but just suddenly started wolfing down breakfast as a preference.

Tom goes something like this
7.3-/8 - b/f followed by a little bit of breakfast (i.e. he eats a tiny bit of toast)
9.30-11 sleep
11.30/12- b/f followed by a bit of lunch (again doesn't eat much)
1.30-3 sleep
3.30ish- b/f
5.15 dinner (doesn't eat much either)
6.15 b/f and then bed
he then has a couple of 'sneaky' feeds during the night
as you can see he doesn't really eat much food at the moment

Yeah quite similar :D, shes starting to get away without needing the 3rd nap some days too, mostly when we are out she makes do with a 10-20 min refresher nap.
For food we can't eat in front of K without her wanting some and complaining (very loudly) if we don't give her any.

My DD is 7mo. Her routine is...
730am up, boob, poridge and fruit
930 nap
1130/12 up, boob, lunch (mashed veg, sometimes a piece of toast with marmite)
2pm nap
330-430 up, boob
530 dinner (meat & veg, fruit for pud - biggest meal)
7-8pm boob and bed
Most of the time she sleeps through, occasionally she wakes for a feed at 12-2am - usually if sick or teething

M'moo, we're pretty much the same as you. Looks like M is trying just to have 3 sleeps per day lately (because she's a catnapper it's usually 4):
6am - milk, brekky, play
7.30am-8am sleep
9am ish - milk, play
11am - sleep
12.30 ish - milk, lunch, play
1.30pm-2pm - sleep
3pm - milk - often won't go down for another sleep
5pm - milk, solids
5.30ish - bath
6pm - bed time, nighty night!
So, looks like 5-6 milk feeds per day, with 3 solids feeds (and I can't BELIEVE how much she eats).
Now I've written this down, she'll know...and she'll change it all...I'm sure I can hear her laughing "mwah ah ha ha haaa" from her cot as I type this
