Hello
I dont post here very often, so i hope this is the right place?
I am interested to know when other people got AF back after baby? I am still exclusively feeding my daughter (12weeks) and today i got the more horendous "period" cramp. But no period??? I mean it was so bad i considered going to A and E until the pain killers finally kicked in.
I really hope AF is coming cause otherwise i dont know whats going on?
I wasnt really expecting AF while i was feeding
Advise???

hey I just got mine back today and am still breastfeeding pretty frequently (6 times during the day and once or twice overnight) so I was getting used to the idea of no AF but in saying that mine has come back really really light today and no cramps -which is a first for me as I usually have the worst AF ever! So it could be AF, some people get theirs back really early on, and some not until they're finished breastfeeding for good

I got one AF when DS was 5weeks and not another since! I did get AF pain today tho and thought she was coming but she was a no show.

I hear is quite normal for AF to be a little loopy while still BFing coz your hormones are up the hooha. Some women get it back nice and regular too tho.
I find I can feel my OV pain sometimes too

AF came back for me when DS was 10mo, I'm still feeding him now.

Apparently AF often comes back once you're feeding less than every 4-6 hours so if you're not feeding overnight anymore that can be a factor.

DD was just over 10 months when mine returned. I was feeding her 4 times a day and 1-2 times a night. I was getting period like cramps every now and again for a few months before it arrived. I went to the Dr and she said it's quite normal and not to worry.

No AF here and we're 7.5 months down the track. I've heard of AF coming back once you feed less regularly.

In saying that I have had heaps of painful period cramps and also ones which I *think* may be ovulation... about once - twice a month since 4 months (ETA: Which is also when I started the minipill).

Don't think that feeding regularly or at night time makes a difference to be honest, I was feeding at least every four hours and mine came back when DS was only 3 months old.
Plus the feeds were really long.
It comes back when it wants to come back! And that sucks pants.

I haven't had AF in about 24mths!!!!! I am feeding Ben still and it hasn't returned and if going by when Jack was a baby then it won't until I stop BFing.

Sugarbaby if the pain returns or lasts for a while then I would consider going to the Dr to have it checked. I have had bad pains 4 times since last Nov. The 5th time was just over a week ago and I had an acute appendicitis, I am sure it has been 'brewing' since last year. So it pays to get it checked
