Hi
I have recently had an appointment with the obstrician, he did a scan because I hadn't felt the baby move for a day - it moved on the scan Phew!
However he said that the ward dopplers were 4.3 which is high. He also said I have to have weekly visits to my midwife as a result (I am only 26 weeks)
Does anyone know what the Ward Dopplers are?
I tried dr google but couldn't find anything - First time ever!
I am going to ask my midwife tomorrow but the suspense is getting to me.
A doppler ultrasound is an ultrasound is that looks at the blood flow through a vessel. It's the actual procedure rather than the result so you might have picked up on the wrong word. Just a complete guess then - but possibly the blood flow in the placenta is what he was talking about?
Thanks, He did say that it was the flow, but I'm not sure what the ratio means, The letter he sent said "the ward dopplers were 4.3."
I think it either means that too much blood is flowing into the baby or out, but I was hoping someone knew which way. I will find out tomorrow from the midwife.
