Bit of an odd question but hoping someone can point me in the right direction or give me some handy hints as to what I can do....
My Dad bought DS his 'First CD' over the weekend and upon playing it yesterday I realised the last 6 or so songs are skipping quite badly. So i removed from the car stereo to find lots of black chips/marks around the outside...almost looks like the boy has chewed it but the top side of CD is fine and I don't think he had the chance to do so. I'm not sure how the marks got there or what they are. I tried wiping but can't see them budging.
Anyone know of any handy home hints in regards to rectifying/restoring scratched/ damaged CD's so they can play normally again?
I'm sure I've heard/read somewhere before that there are services out there that can restore, can anyone point me in the right direction (ie. suggest what shop I'd go to, to get such a service) and how much it may cost me?
If its going to cost more than $20 I will just replace the CD (Not that I really want to, it's Justin Bieber LOL....need I say more?). DS is rather upset its not playing the songs properly so I wanna get a solution asap before he goes and blurts the bad news to Poppa!
And aside from the JB CD it would be handy to know this for future reference, i have lots of CD's with baby photos on them that are heavily scratched!
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help
