I've been teaching myself the basics from guessing how to do things. I went to Spotlight to look at patterns and they are so expensive! Does anyone have tips they could share with me or where to go for patterns that are easy to follow.
I want to make a bag, basic skirt (for me). Pants/dress etc (for the girls).

ummm...I think you can download patterns online and then enlarge them? Not sure about that one. Check out the other sewing theads on here for bits and peices people have made their kids

This is a great site, they have patterns you can download (some fee, some not) and you just need to stick them together. People also post their own creations so you can get some inspiration
