Hi,

Sorry I am new to this temping!!

I posted last week about having a light period and I still have it - day 8. I also this month started taking my temps to try and work out what is going on with my cycle as it varies from around the four week to generally six weeks.

Last week I also started to watch what I was eating and abit of exerise and have just dropped 2kgs in a week - so I am guessing that this is maybe why my period is longer?

I started temping with a ovulation therometer as well but not sure if I was using it correctly (always seemed to be stuck in the same place?). So yesterday I used the battery one and it was 36.1 and this morning is 36.5 - so would that mean I am ovulating while I have still got my period (at day 8)?????

When I took my temp yesterday I was on my back but this morning on my right side - does it matter how you are laying in bed?

Hoping someone can guide me!!

I find that during my period, my temps fluctuate quite a bit, so I take no notice until the bleeding stops and the temps drop down again. If you generally have 4-6 week long cycles, that I highly doubt that you would be ovulating now, but if your temp stays up like that for the next couple of days then its not impossible.

Position in bed shouldnt affect temps, the main things that would cause it to go up (other than ovulation) is if you are getting sick, if you have been half awake and tossing and turning before waking up enough to temp, or if you dont get at least 3 hours solid sleep before taking temp.
