(Sorry about the large photo )

Took wee girl (13 months) to the doctor yesterday.  She was quite cranky, had a temperature, and the beginnings of a rash.  Doctor thought virus of some description.  Today the rash is much worse.  Wee girl is in a better mood with a normal temperature.

Have sent this photo to my doctor also, awaiting reply.  Do other mums think this is normal in terms of a viral rash from your experience?  It's the first time I've come across this and it's kinda scary.

yep! I'd guess viral too. Often the rash comes at the end so that would fit. If she is well in herself I wouldnt be too bothered.

Oh good so it's more likely at the end.  Like I said, this is the first time I've come across this - give me a few more years at being a 'Mum' and I'll know better what's normal and what's not.

Yep same here. we had this at the end of the fever. always good to keep an eye on it thjough... if you are worried- do go to your doc, even if its just for peace of mind.
I freaked out when L's rash appeared and was asking my mum about it.... She said when I was a bub and had a fever- apparently the soles of my feet used to peel!! WTF?!

Heard back from the doctor and everything is fine - the rash might hang around for a couple of days still.  Brooke should be alright to go back to care on Friday.

Poor wee girl was so cranky and un-co that she ended up getting 3 day sleeps today.

One of my twins break out in one of those rashes almost everytime he has a virus!! Sometimes we don't even know he is that unwell (just seems tired). Its frightening the first time it happens, but you do get used to it, and (if she gets it again) you will know if it looks different to normal!
My boys are 3 yrs old now and we haven't had one for a while, so hopefully it is one of those things they grow out of!!
Glad your wee girl is feeling better!
