Ayja is just the cutest right now she is getting out of the baby stage and starting to be a really funny wee girl and i had to share a couple of things that have happened in the last few days.

First she has decided she likes to help me, and do things like opening cupboards for me, will stand at the cupboards and open them when i go to get stuff., etc - also uses this new found knowledge for herself though... found her sitting in the kitchen the other night before dinner.. had gone into pantry, got out one of those fantastic noodle cups (daddy takes them to work) and was sitting on the floor cuddling it.. hhhm, hungry maybe?

Then yesterday after i had a shower, i put her on my bed to sit while i got dressed, and my Pj's were next to her.. she picks them up and holds them out to me and makes a sound as if to say "here you go" (she doesn't speak much compared to what Paris did but shes getting there)..

anyway i say "no mummy doesn't need those - jammies are for night time, I'm getting my clothes", and pointed to the top etc i was putting on - she looks a little sad, and sort of thrusts the jammies at me again, again i say "no, mummy is putting on her clothes" lol, she does the same thing again, looking very grumpy making some very angry noise which obviously means "you better take them or else!".

I just continue to finish putting on my sweater.. at which point she looks at me, drops the jammies and starts bawling her eyes out. Was so funny (yet so sad.. she really wanted to help)

awww what a cutie! I wonder if the lack of talking is a second child thing? Jayde hardly talks either and by her age Alyssa was saying sentences.

i also think that Paris was at home with me for the first year... and i yap at her constantly.. talking about everything we do ... but ayja has been at daycare - where there is talking but probably a whole heck of alot all at once, not really specifically focused on conversations with her all the time like paris had.

Oh well that explains your case but not mine. If anything Jaydes had more talking. Because her sister is always yap yap yapping away to her. Mind you i guess im lucky i dont think i could handle two of them that, JUST WONT BE QUIET.

lol, Ayja makes up for not talking by her personality. She says a whole heap with her expressions - such a monkey.
