For us it was just feeding, feeding, feeding!! they do that to get your milk supply up, it lasted about 48hrs then she was quite tired for a couple of days after. Its not that bad, just go with it and don't stress

I just found Ty had shorter sleeps, from 3wks he slept 6hrs a night but for a day or two he would wake every 2ish hours and feed. Nothing major at all I wouldn't worry

Yup back to 3 hourly feeding here at all growth spurts. Be careful replacing feeds with EBM over this time as the reason they feed more is to boost your supply as they are now hungier and need more food at feeds. Once bubs has built up the supply the feeding should settle back down and will now be taking more at each feed.

I am not an expert but I would be worried that if bubs wasnt feeding from me than I wouldnt build up the supply and it would extend out the length of the growth spurt iykwim.

I just had Jake in bed with me with a boob out and let him snack away, it was done in 48 hours and he went back to 2 night feeds.

Morgan was sleeping thru by then, so she woke one night for a feed, and then fed 2 hourly during the day for 2 days. I express too .... so found it was great to give her a top up in the evening to help her sleep cos she was soooo hungry she wouldn't crash (ie short naps in the evening), but I expressed twice in the evening to get my supply up. She slept heaps the day after (not good for very full boobs!) but I expressed a bit off in between feeds, so that kept my supply up to.

Just go with it ... its really not that bad I don't think. Morgan has mini-growth spurts every 2nd week!

Ah, I didn't even think about the six week growth spurt but DS is six weeks on Monday... and just when I thought we had things semi-sussed!

Don't talk to me about growth spruts...grumble grumble...Miss Clodagh seems to be in a constant growth spurt lol   She's having another one now...and for us it means, more grizzly going down and heaps more feeding which can lead to snacking..which in my case led to 2 consecutive bouts of mastitis cos she wasn't draining the breast properly...and I had HEAPS of milk!

Ahhhh babies....aren't they cute?!

Seems so long ago my DS was 6 weeks and he is only 4 months!!. I remember my MW telling me that during these growth spurts to pretty much forget what you had planned adn stay home and feed when he wanted to be feed. She also made the point that if you try and restrict feeds etc during the growth spurts then they can last for longer. I remember I just styed in my PJ during this time. DS was more grumpy than usual but it does pass.
