Topic: what day do you ovulate? TMI Posted: 10 August 2009 at 8:51am |
What day of your cycle do you ovulate?
My cycle is all over the place and can run anything from 8 days to 60 days.
Yesterday I had fertile CM, sore breasts and a stabbing pain in my abdomen but only really on one side. So I thought maybe I'm ovulating? But the pain is pretty bad, worse than I'd expect for ovulation. And I've just counted and it was CD20. Isnt that a bit late to be ovulating?
*editted for bad spelling

I think you will need to use OPK's & maybe chart so you can see a patteren. It makes it harder to pinpoint ov if your cycles change alot. I usually ov between day13-16, well I think

Hi AzzaNZ, it does sound like you were ovulating with those symptoms. Yea, I would say the same as Jazzy, it does make it easier charting and using opks

I know I should use OPK's and chart but I cant go there again. TTC Isabella left me a mess and my relationship survived only by a thread.
I've promised DH I'll stay calm and in control this time and the only way to do it is keep things as normal as possible. If he even knew I was counting cycle days and keeping pregnancy tests he'd get stressed out.

Thats a shame, but if your cycles go from 8-60 days then you should get them checked out at the drs & not just because you want a baby. Keep an eye on CM, & then do it heaps, I don't tell my DH it is baby making time anymore he just thinks he is getting lucky, hee hee, & it takes the pressure off, think he knows though

I Ov anywhere from day 12 to day 21 so quite hard to figure out and is a long time to BD every month trying to catch it.
My DH is now beginning to join my obsession, he is so understanding. I do try to fool him for the 1st few BD times. But after 4 years he pretty much knows whats going on.
I think he is so understanding of all the $$$ I spend and all the time I spend because he's worried we will have to spend thousands on IVF.

I ov any day from 18 to 29.... Just as point, Ov pains can occur before, during or after ovulation . They are a guide but can not really be used to pin point ovulation.
It makes it hard to keep up with the bding when it isnt regular.

The pains have gone away, as has the fertile CM and no period has arrived yet so I'm crossing fingers and just hoping for the best.

My cycles were long and irractic like that too *(until vitex)... anywhere from 35-65ish and I conceived my youngest on CD40ish Ov so I wouldn't think CD 20 is too late to Ov esp when you have irractic cycles... After my dismal attempt at charting this cycle I am still quite a firm believer in monitoring CM to identify my fertile time as it's so easy and I think temping would make me toooo obsessive. Just BD whenever you see EWCM or watery CM....
BTW your little girl looks soooooo cute!

I've been taking Vitex for the last 2 cycles - how did it affect your cycles when you took it?

From the first cycle I was down to 30s instead of the 40 - 60+ they had been in the cycles since DD2. It can take about 3 months to see the full effect though. I took the tincture this cycle and it seemed to work even better than the pill for me. have you noticed any change?

I havent yet but its only been 2 months. Last month I only had a few days without a period. This month I've gone 22 days so far (so maybe its helping?)
