For the last few nights Floyd had started waking in the early hours happy as, talking and laughing away to himself. The first time I got him up after an hour and gave him a bottle thinking it would settle him back to sleep, big mistake he was awake from 4am-9am when he finally fell asleep!! He didnt cry the whole time was super smiley etc.
Another night I tried ignoring him, after over an hour I felt guilty that he was wide awake, even though he was happy so got up and put his dummy in, he was asleep within minutes.
Last night I was so tired that I got up and 'replugged' 3 times, every time he wasnt crying just laying there chatting and sucking on his hands.

He used to self settle fine in the night, he would sometimes cry out and I would leave him then replug if needed (normally only once a night) so he was sleeping 9-11 hours no problem.

Any ideas?

How are his day sleeps?

Maybe he's confusing day & night?

Do you still wrap? Maybe get him up straight away & feed him & then wrap him & put him back to bed following your usual bedtime routine? We have a melody we play & i'll started using that when I know those eyes are wide open.

We had that about 3-4 weeks ago but it seems to have passed. My girl is a month older than your boy so hopefully it will pass for you too. I fed her in the hopes she would go back to sleep (sometime it worked, sometimes not). I figured as long as she was happy, fed and changed there wasn't much I could do and eventually she would go back to sleep.

hi all, i have a 4 and a half month old daughter and ever since she was born wont sleep during the day unless i was feeding her or rocking her she used to sleep well at night would wake up every 3-4 hours for feeds and go back to bed fine but for the past 5 nights she has been waking up and wanting more feeds and when i try putting her back she wakes and cries. i am a single mum and she is fully BF, i have been trying to get her to sleep during the day and letting her cry to self settle herself but she ends up hysterical and has never once cried herself to sleep. Please does any one have any ideas?
