Topic: At least it wasnt a ladle ... Posted: 07 June 2006 at 3:39pm |
Hey chicky babes!!
You won't believe this
Weeelllll ....actually, you might
BUT
I just bought the most gorgeous set of 4 coasters on the face of the earth. They're French, solid marble, and fabulous! They were on a super, super, super sale!! (They also weigh an absolute ton so I seriously hope I don't drop one on my toe at any point!).
The funny thing is that they were almost the same price as the ladle!
Uh ...hrmmm...
My niece is coming to stay this weekend for the first time. It's going to be funny ...funny odd, but not bad I don't think. My first AF after stopping TTC is due this weekend, and I was looking at the nursery this morning, which is all put together, and I just thought ...huh. Is that weird that I have just switched off from TTC? I feel like it should be weird. My mother and my MIL both think it is. Maybe its just that I have so much else going on at the moment and my focus is in a million different directions.
Anyway! I hope everyone is good and happy and healthy, and that everything is going fabulously well for those among us who are expanding at the waist (for reasons other than over-consumption of chocolate).
For everyone else - you can all share the baby dust I don't need for now xoxoxoxxxxx Here you go .....CATCH!!

If AF doesn't show, it'll probably save me some trouble. At the moment, with the job hunt, everyone has their oar in and it's starting to really get me down. Not the looking, but everyone sticking their oar in about what I should be doing. I'm sick of hearing 'you need something challenging' or 'you need to have less stress' or you should do this, or that, or you're selling yourself short. I am sick of it. I just rang the husband really excited about a job (as an office administrator - nice and cruisy and similar money to what I'm on now, a little more), and he just went "Oh. I thought you wanted something more." I wish I'd never quit my damn job, no matter how much I hate it, just to have everyone off my case.
*Sigh*
Rant over. Thanks for listening.

That's a weird response from your DH Ginger, when it was him that encouraged you to quit your job because you hated it... I'd imagine that he'd be happy to see you in a job that you would like? Still, Men can sometimes react according to what's going on around them at the time, rather than it being a direct reaction to the matter being discussed. It gets hard to tell sometimes! I definately think you should go for the job that suits you and you only. Don't worry about everyone else!

I agree do something you enjoy otherwise you could end up regretting it & wanting to leaver sooner rather than later if you get what i mean.
hehehe my friend asked me if i wanted to go to my mall today lol I wont be going there in a hurry thats for sure.
Bombshell tell the husband that usually you have to take a kid with you to make it more viable (and not so obvious that hes just a big kid himself )

OK - update!!
Once I calmed down (I have PMT and I'm feeling a bit emotional) I thought about why I wanted the job, and when I got home I talked to the husband and outlined my reasons, why I wanted it, what I wanted from my job and my studies and my life over the next 2 years and why that made this job a good move. Do you know what he did? He smiled and me and said 'Go for it!'. I, of course, said 'What?' and He said 'Go for it! I just wanted to make sure that you had thought it through, and wanted what you wanted for the right reasons.'.
Go figure. Men!! I wish they were nice simple creatures like us women
