Hi
I am really starting to pull my hair out!! My husband has an accepted medical misadventure claim with ACC as a result of 3 x hernia repairs!! We have been battling them now for 12months and still waiting for a decision from them with regard to his infertility and 100% antibodies being a result of the medical misadventure.... They keep declining us, even though our specialist at FA has written saying that the reports and surgical notes she has read, are a result of the medical misadventure surgery....
Just wondering if anybody has been successful with ACC funding treatment??? We now have our local MP helping us. Fingers crossed....
Sorry to hear of your troubles Country Girl. I don't have any experience with ACC funded IVF, but I am just wondering, since your DH has 100% antibodies, don't you qualify for publicly funded IVF anyway? My DH had antibodies (not from a medical misadventure) and we qualified for publicly funded IVF. We actually chose to go private as the waiting list was 12-18 months at that time and I didn't want to wait.
Hi Lou
Yeah we do qualify for public funded IVF. We had our first cycle in January this year, and unfortunatly I had a bio-chemical pregnancy, and then our two 8 cell embies did not thaw!!
Second public cycle starts next month. Just want ACC to be responsible, and have a back up plan!!
How did your IVF cycles go? Great to see you have a nearly two year old!! Any plans to hit the IVF rollercoaster for number 2!!
Hi Country Girl. I am sorry to hear that your first cycle wasn't successful and about your frozen embryos. Best of luck for your 2nd cyle. I can understand you wanting a back up plan.
We were very lucky to have a successful ICSI cycle the first time around. I have two frozen 8-cell embryos, but at this stage I have no desire to have anymore children. I am so stoked with my Daughter, she is my absolute world and nothing could add to that right now. Who knows what the future may bring though.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you for next month.
