Hi all, I'd appreciate some advice about sterilising bottles and milk-expressing equipment. I have a steam steriliser that I will use for both, my question is what to do with the items once sterilised so that they stay sterile - can i put them in a sealed container e.g. large tupperware and use them as needed or do I need to setrilise every time just before i use? Given that the steriliser does several bottles at once I'm presuming there's a way to keep things sterilised but maybe that's just wishful thinking!

Thanks in advance for any tips

We just used to put boiled water into the bottles, seal them and put them in the fridge .. ready for use.

Otherwsie all items just stayed in the sterliser until we needed it .. then we would take it out of the steriliser, use, then put in dishwasher when dirty.

I just put them in a tupperware container and as long as they weren't in there for too long after sterilizing, then I'd use them like that. If too long or not sure, then would sterilize again. If you have your own steam sterilizer, than why not just keep it in there until you need them?

I keep mine in the sterilizing unit generally, sometimes I put the water in that I need for the fed and leave on the bench - I have never had any problems.

I just leave mine in the sterilizer, and I make up all the bottles at once just full of boiled water and pop them in the fridge, ready to add the formula to it.

Thanks for the tips ladies, that all sounds very sensible and managable! I think I'll try to keep thing in the steriliser but get a suitable tupperware as well so that I have somewhere to put items if I need to use the steriliser.
