As far as I am aware it should be fine. I can't remember exactly when but before my mw discharged me (so Jack was less than 6wks old) I got mastitis and my mw told me to take 1000mg Vit C to help get rid of the infection (along with Antibiotics). I continued to take them on and off while I was bfing and Jack is fine.

If you want to be 100% sure then call your local chemist and ask them. They are usually pretty good at advice and are usually pretty cautious so will let you know if there are any doubts

I have taken Ester C (strong Vit C) the entire time I have been BF. In a book I have regarding nutrition etc. it recommends Vit C as one of the supplements to take while BF. I am pretty sure its fine, I have had no problems so far.

Phew I'm glad people are saying it's ok because I've been taking it every day since well before I got pregnant, never even thought about whether it would be ok or not

Yep and as someone said it's great for helping with breast issues like mastitis!
