Ava has been on solids since she was 5 1/2 months. How much should i be giving her at each feed (she has watties babyfood).

Should i be feeding her until she turns her head away or should i be feeding her a set amount?

The reason why i ask is because she has been rejecting her milk lately.

Joel started not drinking his milk, and then not wanting his solids after his milk so I swapped them around and he has his solids at least 1/2 to 3/4 hr before his milk. He is still drinking at least 180mls per feed. For his solids he has at least the equivelent of 1 and a half small jars plus either soft fruit/cruskit with marmite/girl guide biscut/toast......the boy can eat!!!!

Do you give her milk first? My son henry eats huge amounts (its unbelievable). Though sometimes i tell him that he's had enough. I would feed her untill you think shes had enough. Keep in mind though she may want quite a bit. On a typical day Henry eats 1 wheatbix with apple for breakfast, 5meatballs, a marmite sandwhich and a pear for lunch, and half a cup of meat with a cup of mashed veges for dinner. And sometimes he has an afternoon snack. Seriously i never knew a baby could eat so much. And i don't think im over feeding him.

Yep Ava has her milk first. Sounds like Henry is eating really well - meatballs and sandwiches - Ava cant even handle mashed with soft pieces very well!!!

Yeh Jack is rejecting milk too, I give him a breast feed first, then he has 1 can/jar of baby food 3times a day, and sometimes some toast or a cruskit too.
We were told to try giving him milk out of a sippy cup instead. As he seems to prefer them to bottles.
