When you think you are PG and you take a HPT and is BFP then what, Do call the doc/nurse first or phone round for a MW or go have bloods?
I was talking to my friend who is a nurse at a GP and she said to go see your nurse, with DS I went to Doc who did a PT and then she said to just go find a MW.

With Issy I went to the doctor to confirm.
With Elias .. I went straight to the midwife (although I didnt do bloods or anything to reconfirm, but did have a dating scan at about 8.5 weeks)

See even when I went to the doctor all I did was POAS ..
Hence the reason I didnt bother going this time lol (although its free .. so I could have gone to see her again)

I've never had the blood test. I organise a mw asap and then talk with DH about when to tell family & friends (at the same time cause the family can't keep secrets!)

I went to the docs all three times and she gave me a form for booking bloods and that was it. She didnt confirm pregnancy as she thought 6 HPT was enough to say yes i was preggers.

I don't understand your last question...
Your mw will ask you if it's been confirmed. If not, she'll get you to do a POAS/BT surely?
I went to my GP to confirm things and do pre-natal bloods.
Then I organised a mw.

Oh I think she was asking what if the little stick thingey was telling complete sh*te and she wasnt pregnant.
Ive never had bloods done .. so I wouldnt know the answer. I guess when I went for a dating scan and saw a baby there, that was good enough for them to confirm it

Ahhh.
Well, AFAIK a line is a line is a line...
So going to a MW when you have a +ve HPT is a reasonable thing to do.

I went to my Dr on both occasions. I didnt get bloods this pg (too stressful) except for the 13 week one.

I did a couple of HPTs. Got a doctors appointment a couple of weeks after that (found out on NYE, so my GP was closed for a while). Did a POAS at doctors. He gave me the Bounty pack thing, a list of local midwives, medlab forms for first bloods and congratulated us both.
Then I booked a midwife and had my first appointment a few weeks after that.

I'm going to the doctor end of next week which will mean I'll be 4 or 5 days late for my period. No point in going really other than to confirm BFP and I'm going to ask for a referal for a scan at around 7 weeks too. Not sure if I'll bother getting hcg bloods done or not. Do you have to have the blood tests not the hcg one, but the early pregnancy ones for second pregnancies?
I'll call the same midwife I had last time early next week prior to doctors visit.

5 were internet cheapies - i had a box of 50 and had about 30 left, dont worry i managed to POAS for all those throughout the first few weeks too, rather than waste them hahaha
