WELL... haha
I'm taking B6, Natal-Aid, Folic Acid, Dandelion root (detox herb), Vitex, and I'm also taking 20ml/day of a herbal tincture I got from the naturopath.

I'm taking folic acid and thats it.
Personally, I wouldn't take anything else (except maybe a multivitamin if I thought my diet wasn't good enough) without consulting a doctor.

I'm recovering from the Depo Provera injection, which is why I'm taking so much at the moment.
The tincture I'm taking from the Naturopath also includes detox herbs, so we're not officially ttc this month for that reason.
Next month I'll be down to the tincture (but without the detox herbs), Natal Aid (a more pure version of pregnancy vitamins), and folic acid (the vitamins only have 500mg).
I'll probably continue with the B6 as well because I've been vegeterian for most of my life, and I'm being tested for B12 levels.

Yeah I am a vego hence why taking the multivitamins - I was also a blood donor and my iron levels got a wee bit low so needed a top up.
Oxy-are you asking about prescribed meds that are specific to help conceive?

Do you have to have PCOS to take metformin?
I think I need to lose a couple of kilos too...
My mum said our whole family get elephant thighs when we get pregnant, and i shoul try and lose a couple of kilo first.

I think its pretty unlikely that the two are related. Folic acid is to reduce the risk of neural tube defects, its not actually related to conception. If you've been trying for over a year, I'd pop along to the doctor if you haven't been already. If you don't get good answers from your GP, ask for a referral to a specialist (or just make one privately). There are all kinds of medications that are designed to help with conception, but you'll have a much better idea where you stand if you can pinpoint the problem. For example if you are not ovulating, clomid may help (but it won't help if the problem is something else).
Good luck

ive just started folic acid from the doc, and hes just suggested i take a prenatal multi as well as my bloods came back with quite low iron. so im going to start taking Solgar prenatal vitamins in the next week or so. i dont eat red meat so for me its probably quite important i take something and get my stores up well in advance.. otherwise id try to keep my diet full of vitamins and minerals and just take folic acid.

Lizzie, haha that is meanie of your Mum!
I dunno about this metformin stuff...I don't have PCOS but the Dr said that 'there is evidence to suggest it can help all kinds of women' so I just along with it. To be honest, I didn't even know what it was and was too overwhelmed to ask so googled it when I got home haha.
I am def a bit of a fatty pants, so assume he thinks that if Ilose weight I might actually get pregnant....dunno!

Wow Nat, that is really bad that your dr didn't explain what the medication was for! I am seeing a specialist at the moment for a bladder condition and I refuse to take any meds unless they fully explain what they are for and how they are meant to improve my condition. I have refused to take them so far because they have no idea what is wrong and just hope that throwing meds at me will make me go away!
Oxy I would doubt that folic acid would reduce EWCM. Try taking Evening Primose Oil vitamins every day prior to ovulation as this has been known to increase EWCM. It is important to keep taking folic acid, preferably 3 months prior to conception.

Just taking elevit and getting a B12 shot once every 3 months as last year was alarming low and i'm not even a vego! I found out when I had pre-pregnancy bloods done.
Has anyone got their man on anything? Zinc supplements are meant to be good for sperm health.
