Topic: Am I being...??? Posted: 09 March 2009 at 8:19pm |
Hi there
I didn't think I'd be posting til I was "really" TTC next month but here goes...
I'm the last person who wanted to put up a post asking am I pregnant, because a) it's too early and b) you're not going to have the answer... my question is am I being paranoid?
I had a miscarriage in January at 8 weeks, I've only had one cycle since (came back in 3 weeks).. I may have been a little naughty and gone against advice not to try until second cycle and technically I wasn't trying but wasn't not trying either...
And now I"m roughly 6/7 dpo and I"m thinking I have some symptoms that I remember having last time... firstly spotting that could be implantation bleeding which I did have thouhg much later last time... also the strong smelling urine... tired i.e. want to be in bed and asleep before 9pm... and odd sensations in my tummy like dull ache/crampy...
Does that sound like something that I'm making up in my head or do I have real cause to think it's more than my imagination?

Well it could be 2 things - either 1 you are pregnant or 2 your body is playing a very crual joke on you!
Either way I don't think you're paranoid at all, well not in a bad way We've all been where you are and those few days just before you can test are agony!
I tested positive with this one at 11DPO but the line was really faint and I only knew it was a BFP after I tested the next day (and the next and the next ) to compare the lines.
I hope for your sake it is the start of something wonderful

Oh M2Bee, you're not paranoid at all. There are lists upon lists of us who go through this every cycle, wondering if what we're feeling is real or not.
We have even been talking lately about some of us (ok most of us) being POAS addicts.
If you can, wait until the weekend and then test, if it's BFN, test again when AF is due. But whatever you do, don't feel bad or paranoid, it's ok.

Well I can understand where you are coming from. I didn't even have a cycle after the MC and thinking you are preg again so soon kinda freaks you out a little. We were not actively trying, I was thinking the first month or two would be handy for me to start temping and using OPKs (but when you get a pos ov test its a little hard not to want to BD )
I was never told to wait a certain length of time before TTC again and my body would be ready for another bub when it was ready (who knew it would be ready so quickly given how long we waited for the first one)
Drs sometimes ask you to wait for a few cycles so it makes dating a preg so much easier - but given you can go for a scan at 6/7 weeks why bother.
Its too early to poas at the moment - but I got a BFP on a discover early result test on DP10 with FMU. Something told me to start testing, so I went and bought a load of tests and went through about 7 of them before I was convienced.
I would try and wait until Saturday before testing - its going to be such a long week for you.

Good yet scary news!
I got a BFP on 10 dpo... not faint at all, a full dark line....
So I wasn't paranoid... good luck to everyone else this month!
