Hi everyone
Just wondering if anyone has used chinese traditional medicine in their journey to conceive. I've visited a chinese acupuncturist to regulate my veeerryyy looooooooong cycles (56 days) and he has also prescribed a herbal prescription to aid this (and to help me sleep). Has anyone else had the same thing, and how did it work for them? I'm a bit nervous, this is as far removed from Western medicine as I have ever gone and it is a bit weird! I guess though it's worth giving herbs a short before chemicals (eg western medicine)?
Hi
I would have faith in the traditional medicines. They are tried and true and have been so since long before Western Medicine came around.
I would also suggest trying a thing called Colour therapy. Totally painless and drug free. It does make you sleepy, but I have found that a small price to pay for the many benefits I have gained from CT over the years.
Am considering going to visit to help TTC.
My acupuncturist is starting me on chinese herbs this week, too. I've heard they're pretty gross, but I'm keen to try them as I did see a success story on From Here to Maternity.
Hi Treen, yes I saw the same show and thought of that lady too. Yep the herbals are pretty gross, have found the trick is to drink through a straw holding my nose with a pineapple lump afterwards to numb the taste! then it's ok!! good luck let me know how you get on :-)
