Topic: Anyone else waiting on fluffy post? Posted: 10 January 2009 at 4:39pm |
I have a few things coming this week - a few preloved prefolds (as back-ups), some Little Cloth Kiwi wipes & some Itti Bitti's which I ordered directly from Aussie during their sale on Thursday (couldn't resist a bargain!).
Is anyone else waiting on fluffy post?

Yes! I have ordered my first few MCN's in preparation for our bubs over the Christmas break, a special on Babyfirst all-in-twos from Mum and Bubs! Still waiting eagerly to start my cloth nappy collection!

Not yet, but I need to start buying a few petite nappies for Josh (will be looking on TM for those).

No..............bummer wish I had known about the itti sale in oz though.
But in saying that Leah has decided this week she will only wear nappiesat night or if we are out in the car, so potty training has begun and I really don't need more naps.
Am now off to look up ittis in oz, (I already peeked at tweedle today )

If you sign up with the Itti Bitt website they'll send you newsletters of any sales. It's the first time I've ordered directly from them (I usually buy local) but they had 25% off and even with international post I only ended up paying about $25 per nappy. They were really nice to deal with too and I just phoned their office to give my credit card details over the phone.

It was a one-day only sale to celebrate their birthday. I got an email saying it started at 9am Aussie time so logged on at 11.02 NZ time to place my order as I'd heard that their sales were really popular and often crash the website!

Ooooh, my Little Cloth Kiwi wipes arrived today and they're gorgeous!! Flannel & sherpa - they're so soft and look really well made. Can't wait to use them on my new little cloth bottom come March!

So I caved and got a couple of ittis from oz. Have you noticed that the ones that come from oz are longer than the ones we get here?
I bought some second hand on trade me in a medium for Joel and they were bigger than my other mediums and these are large one for Leah and the snap in hourglass shaped insert is at least an inch longer than my others.
Don't get me wrong this is great they will last that much longer now , was just wondering if anyone else had noticed this.
Maybe ozzie butts are bigger than kiwi ones?!

It's probably just because they are new (bamboo will shrinky slightly in the wash) - once they've been washed a few times they'll probably be the same size as your others

I received some prefolds the other day, and a cover for the new baby. DH looked at the prefolds and was like 'What are those??!!' lol I'm so excited now that I have a complete newborn collection all washed & ready to go. They look so cute in the baby's wardrobe

My new ones are on the line in the sun so I can use them later......YAY!!!!!!
Damn this potty training thing, she is hardly using nappies at the moment, (the new ones were mainly for when Joel gets big enough for them, I am buying a couple every 6 weeks or so)

Kinda of - Mum said that she would get me nappy stuff and make some MCN's as part of my birthday present, so we had a wee spend up at greenbeans yesterday - have enough fleece for 9 nappies, and PUL for 3, - all from the odds and ends part - plus she's picked up some second hand AIOs( I think) we are going to convert to pockets using the fleece, and we're going to make some wipes too
