Not sure where I should post this as I need the advice of Mums that have successfully turned bubs.

What is the best time, ie from what week did you start going upside down?

My boy is flipping & turning all the time at the moment, he was head down at the start of Nov & then during this last week he turned head up & then friday was transverse!

I judging all this from a scan 3 weeks ago which had him head down (20 week scan was breech) & hiccups being down by my pelvic bone. Then I had hiccups up above my belly button & then way out by my hip bone.

He's moved again this arvo as I have reflux again but I haven't felt hiccups to tell where his head is.

I have seen the vid clip with the couch & will try that, it worked for my Mum but what is the best time, cause there is no point if he's going to flip back.

I'm sorry that I don't have much advice to offer on actually turning bubs, I have heard that using a swiss ball as a seat is good for fetal positioning, as is spending as much time on your hands and knees that you can comfortably manage.

At this stage of your pregnancy though I'd say bub probably still has plenty of room to flip and turn about, and it wouldn't be a concern unless he was still breech at the 36 week mark or later? (Anyone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though...)

Hi

I havent actually needed to have any of my bubs turned but like pearl said you shouldnt worry about how he's lying at the moment until your about 36 weeks preg as there is still abit of room in there for him to turn still....Good Luck and I do hope he's heading south by the time you reach 36-37wks..

Hey Kel,

I had a good chat to the lady that takes our antenatal classes about this exact thing as bubs was breech at our scan too.

She basically said that we need to start now. She said it's all about getting the baby used to and being comfortable in the correct position. She told me to buy a swiss ball and make sure I sat on it during the day even for short periods of time. Pretty much slightly bent forward making sure my knees are not higher than my hips.

I think it's working as i'm only getting kicks up the top and am only feeling light movements down below and the same with the hiccups.

Jody changed all the time too until about 35ish weeks when she decided head down was probably best! I sat/rocked/bounced on my swiss ball from about 32 weeks. She still didn't engage until some point during labour, but at least she was the right way up (or down... )

Brooke was breeched at 34 weeks but then turned by 36 weeks and was in an excellent position for birth - in fact the best and was sure an easy birth

Ok thanks guys!....so I won't worry for a few weeks, I'll dig out my swiss ball & sit on that instead of my computer chair, might help

Hi I am 32 weeks pregs and last week I got my baby turned with acupuncture which was great and I saw her move around. This made the heartburn diappear and I got to have a good nights sleep.
THen much to my dismay and disappointment she turned back to breech. My MW is not concerned about it until 36 weeks but I was just trying to get rid of the heartburn. If she has not turned by herself by 36 weeks I will get acupuncture done again and hopefully this time there wont be enough room for her to spin back. hope this helps you
