I have always had a bad lower back from a fall when I was a teenager and have been to chiros, osteos and physios over the years it has been relatively good until now...

I have just taken the dog for a short walk and my lower back, down my right leg and whole pelvis was so uncomfortable. I felt like I was waddling and I'm only 16 weeks! Also my tummy got really tight. Does anyone else have this happen? I have read up about SPD as someone suggested that but I don't think it is that as it's not incredibly painful just very uncomfortable!

Is this just part of being pregnant!?? I expected to be sick in the first 3mths and uncomfortable and big in the last 3mths but no one warned me about this...

Yeah I started getting that kind of thing fairly early. I was a dumbass and didn't do anything about it. When I saw my chiro well after my son was born he told me off for not going to see him while I was pregnant. Go see someone about it and they can at least give you stretches and stuff to ease the discomfort and it will help stop it getting worse as you get bigger

SPD is normally only right at the front of the pelvis and hurts like a mother, when you have that its normally opening the legs or going up stairs etc that aggravate it, what you has sounds different to that.
I agree with Stacey, go and see someone or talk to your midwife, I saw a physio for free during my first pregnancy because of sciatica and it did help a lot, have been able to use the same exercises and techniques this time around as well.
Your tummy going tight sounds like a braxton hicks, which is totally normal and nothing to worry about. Some women feel them really early and they can be quite uncomfortable and others never feel them at all.

Yup the tummy being tight def sounds like BH. I got them from about 15 weeks the second time around, and later on my tummy would be rock hard and sore sometimes for a couple of hours at a time. My MW called it the brick!!

Yep, my pelvis is determined to kill me. It's been the worst part of the pregnancy. It's in the pubic area, in the hips, down the front and back of the legs and the lower back.

Walking the dog was my trigger for the pain as she's a large dog and I had to keep up. Slower walking helped as well has warm baths and wheatie bags when it gets bad.

It still hurts quite a lot and getting out of bed in the morning is the worst part. Just take things slowly.

anyone get real stiff around hips, lower back? I'm probably about 2 weeks pregnant REAL early on but had major problems during my 2nd pgncy which I didn't do anything about....
I went for a light 20 min walk today and yesterday and could feel discomfort around hips, lower back, and knee joints. It also feels like my leg muscles are a bit like jelly - very weak. It feels worse in the evenings.
Am wondering if this is Symphasis pubis? Any hints greatly appreciated

I had serious problems with my hips, knees and ankles, did the same things you did practitioner wise and it wasn't until I went to Shoe Science and had them fit me properly for a pair of runners that I had any really big changes happen. There were 2 pairs of shoes in the entire store suitable for my feet! They were a little pricey but I now walk without pain on a daily basis and if I go for a real walk I put the runners on and it's heaven.
