i didn't know you could get your period without ovulating. How does that work?
When you do ovulate, is it always 14 days until you get your period, or does that fluctuate depending on your cycle?
I ask because since coming off the pill my cycles have been 44, 57 and 44 days. Last cycle I had a faint line on an OPK but got my period 11 days later, so I wasn't sure what was going on.
Phase length after ovulating can vary, doesn't have to be 14 days before your next period. Also you can still get your period and not ovulate because the endometrium (lining of the uterus) still needs to shed, plus its the decrease in progesterone that signals vasodilation (ie Period time)...well I think it's progesterone anways......sheesh you'd think I'd be certain since I got 98% on my maternal science test that had that in it lolz.
