Topic: Woe is me! Posted: 27 September 2008 at 8:36pm |
Just wanted to moan really.
I have developed a horrible, itchy, dry, pimply looking rash over the bottom half of my face
Its very itchy and it hurts too and Im sitting here trying not to scratch feeling very sorry for myself.
I have no idea what it is or what caused it! I need to see a dermatologist, but I need a referral or southern cross wont pay for it... so I need to see my Dr on Monday (plus my mw appointment) and try and get into the derm....
Thats all, poor DH, just getting over my MS and now this. Bless himl, he thought my moaning had stopped!

I feel your pain!!!! I had it too, covered mainly my neck and chest. I looked like I was going thru puberty with an acne breakout!!!!
It finally cleared up the week after I had Cooper!

I have had an ezcema break out, haven't had ezcema since i was a kid. It's all on my face, neck and arms. Do you think it could be that? The doc gave me some mild steroid creams and they haven't gotten rid of it but it isn't as itchy or red any more. I'm not very good at remember to put the cream on though which doesn't help.

I had a bad pimple breakout all over the bottom half of my face and its only starting to clear up now. But it is still worse than before I was pregnant. I am using a Tea Tree face wash, toner and moisturizer (sp??) from body shop and I have noticed a difference.
It will clear up and yes it is rather frustrating.

My sister had that with all three of hers. Doc called it Preggers rash. It covered her body and she gave birth just as it crept onto the soles of her feet and palms of her hands. Not trying to scare you, she just had a very nasty case of it. Cocoa butter seemed to help sooth it from memory. One person suggested Pine Tarsol body wash but i'm not sure if that stuff is safe during pgcy.

It could be ezcema, its been about 10/15 years since I have had and dont really remember what its like.....
My face is peeling today so I look super My lips are cracking too and all around the bottom of my nose looks like I have been blowing it for a week.
I definately want to see a dermatologist though, Dr's are not experts in skin problems and as I am only 11 weeks, i think an expert is what I need if I want to stay sane.
I dont want to leave the house it looks so bad. Thankfully, I am still so exhausted that I am having no trouble sleeping (touchwood).
At least its a beautiful day outside!

well I dont know But will surely let you all know!
I have had acne from week 5, so this on top of the rash... well I am sure you can all imagine how crap I look!
Right no more pity, DH and I were just watching a show about some girls who had a genetic skin disease and had to be covered head to toe in cream and were all red and I felt very guilty complaining about my rash after that!

i did feel bad for them, than I felt guilty for pitying them cos they seemed so emotionally healthy!
This was in England though, and it was 2 different families both with 2 girls....
Naturally it got us thinking how we would cope if there was anything wrong with bubs....

I thought I was getting really weird acne on my hands and chest. Turns out I was getting eaten alive by white tail spiders when I was asleep. I have a spider phobia so NOT cool.

I'm having a boy and my skin has been terrible since about 8 or 9 weeks in. I never got pimples as a teenager (lucky me) but am making up for it now! And I've got eczema inside both my elbows which gets worse in the humidity/heat - didn't have it at all before I was pregnant either.
Caught up with my friend yesterday who also happens to be my due date buddy She has a rash all over her tummy, it looks red and kinda like it would be itchy and bumpy. She knows what she's having but she's not telling
Melnel, if your rash is on your face and making you feel like cr@p then definitely try get to specialist to see what you can do about it. There's enough stuff about pregnancy that makes you feel like staying home as it is!

It gets really scary when the cats are jumping all over the bed trying to catch something. I keep washing all my bedding but those horrid little demons can survive anything. Not sure where they're coming from and I even get scared to put my hands under my pillow.
Haven't seen any for a few days so hopefully my efforts in hiffing boots at anything that moves from a distance of 8 meters has worked. Just have to watch i'm not throwing anything at a cat under the blanket lol.

Psoriasis and Dermatitis... of course the treatment is antibiotics.....
I have been given a low dose hydrocortisone and am allowed to use frag free moisturiser. I just used my neutrogena for sensitive skin and oh my did it sting...
Pretty much told me that its going to take AGES to get rid of it.
My skin is flaking now, people keep staring at me... I hope my boss will let me work from home for a few days at least till it calms down a bit.
$185 later though, thank goodness for Southern Cross!
