Topic: Sleepless Posted: 31 August 2008 at 6:39pm |
I haven't slept in literally almost 20 hours. I am going on delirious, and have tried everything in the book.
Can I take ANYthing? Any suggestions besides the obvious warm milk/baths ect?
Going koo koo, so is this poor baby..

Sorry to hear you arent sleeping, it must be very fustrating.
Have you tried reading a book while in bed too calm the body down?? It works for me when I am not tired and within bout half an hour I am sleepy.
Not sure if there is anything you can take sorry.

There's not really much you can take, b ut even if you just lay in bed, at least you are getting rest even if you can't sleep

Or get ya man to give you a nice relaxing massage with the lights out. Might relax you enough to sleep. I got DH to do that a few times

Hopefully you've had some sleep by now.
One thing that sometimes works for me is taking nice deep slow breaths, and relax each part of your body on each out breath. I always have to conciously relax my jaw because I get so frustrated at still being awake!
And another thing (and this sounds really silly!) I turn around so my head is at the feet end of the bed, I don't know why it works but it usually does. DH thinks I'm mental lol

I listen to relaxation tracks on my ipod, its a lady talking and makes you go throughyour body and relax every part, by the end i'm virtually asleep, its like the end of a yoga class so good!! And rescue remedy is good, even if you can't get the sleep version just the normal stuff will help switch your brain off and relax you! Good Luck

Thank you so much guys...
Managed to pass out for 5 hours last night. What a relief. Hopefully tonight I'll get a bit more. Some great tips tho!
