Topic: Me AGAIN! Posted: 05 August 2008 at 1:11pm |
Im wondering if anyone has any ideas on this..probably loads of threads like it but however!
Brennan is feeding well and putting on weight...He konks out generally at night for 4 - 5 hours at a time after a bit of cuddling etc BUT it is either in bed with me or on snuggled up in my arm (prob cause he is BUGGERED)......He will not settle in his basinette at all....have been trying and he will nod off for 5 mins then go "eh eh eh" and start squirming and screaching then settle for 5 mins then start...it goes on and on ....by time he has actually got into any kind of sleep its feed time again and he has prob had about 30 minutes sleep (if that!) Its a nightmare......
Im completely lost!

is he a windy baby? my little boy used to be like that initially until plunket suggested putting a book under the top of his mattress to help him feel more comfortable, worked a treat!
Is he swaddled? that would mimic the closeness of being in your arm

Kelpa i sure hope that your little man figure out the sleep thing soon. Sleep seem to be one of those big issues for newborns and onwards. I'm a little nervous about how well this little man will sleep once he gets here. There seems to be so many theories on how to get them to sleep well.

Do you think he prefers being bent? He might have a bit of reflux or wind. Will he go to sleep in the likes of a bouncinette or baby capsule?
Otherwise he might just be particularly hungry but gets too sleepy to feed, or likes your warmth?
