Topic: Pet peeves? Posted: 01 August 2008 at 3:40pm |
Just out of curiosity, and boredom because I've got the day off sick.
1) What is one thing that is a BIG thing that is guaranteed to really annoy you/make you angry etc? Things about life in general I mean...
2) What is one small 'peeve' that annoys you? Just something petty that isn't really a big deal, but that annoys the crap out of you anyway?
Mine are:
1) The big thing for me, drunk driving, speeding and general dangerous driving. This is one thing that makes me incredibly angry, because I've lost a number of people due to another persons selfishness in regards to road safety. I can't help but get angry about this, and I have no tolerance towards those who act this way. I feel no sympathy towards those who crash due to their own stupidity.
2) Just a silly thing, I hate it when people take something out of the pantry/fridge and use the last of something (like crackers or something) and then leave the packet behind...so I think there is still some left, and don't buy any more, and then suddenly realise we have run out when I want whatever it is. Silly thing, but it's annoying.

Lol I was reading through the old thread and I was like "why didn't I post in here?" and then realised DUH it was 4 days after my boy was born!!
1) Big thing - people not putting themselves in other people's shoes, not trying to understand where they come from, lack of respect, being rude etc.
2) Little things
- leaving wet dishclothes unrinsed by the sink, they go stinky really quick and are so unhygenic
- using the last of the juice and not putting another bottle in the fridge
- not wiping feet or taking shoes off at our door (we have stupid white tiles and they look dirty sooo quickly! we finally got a mat for inside though, yay)
- leaving lights/tv on when we're not in the room

I love these threads!
Big thing: Homophobia.
Little things:
- DH not pulling his sleeves/pants legs/unrolling socks.. out before putting them in the machine and then I have to do it when they're all wet and heavy.
- Finishing the toilet roll and leaving it next to the toilet instead of in the bin
- Used tissues not thrown in bin. SO !
- People (read: In Laws) who call around without so much as a text message warning me. I hate being caught off guard because my hair is BIG and strange when its not done and I don't bother doing it when I'm just staying home.
- People who offer my kids lollies or similar without asking me first.

Eek I'm so glad my DH doesn't do this. He does put things in the wash inside out though, so he gets them back folded inside out lol

So yes. We have a basket kinda thing on one side of the bin for the NEW toilet rolls, and a bin on the other side, and I'm always finding the empty toilet rolls in the basket! what! just go to the other side of the toilet and there's a rubbish bin!!
Ooo that's the first time I've had reason to use that emotion, how exciting

Yep I hear you on this one. If the kids finish something in the pantry they leave the box on the bench, rather than throwing it away.
Wet towels left on the floor.
DH & Conor not putting their washing out, and saving it all up for the weekend.
Drivers on the Royal Oak Roundabout.
Cooper not going to sleep like he's meant too!
Knives and Forks being left on the bench rather than being put in the sink.
Toilet Paper being hung the wrong way.
Thats all for now.
