Topic: What is your show-off nappy? Posted: 25 May 2008 at 11:03am |
I went to a 2yr old birthday party yesterday and just before we were leaving I changed Leo's nappy on the floor, away from the bulk of the group. I was putting on a Foxybots retro blue dots nappy when mum of the mums yelled from across the room "I love that nappy Vic!" - coming from a sposie user I was quite chuffed! I invited her over to have a closer inspection & feel, then the grandmother of the birthday girl overheard and came over too. After she gave it a stroke she said "Oh my goodness, is that a real nappy?" - to which I very proudly said "Yes, it is!". She went on to ask all about them, where I got them from, how much they cost, how did I wash them etc. She said she'd never seen anything like them and was so impressed as she couldn't remember the last time she'd seen anyone using real nappies!
Anyway, I realised that if I'm going anywhere where a nappy change is likely to be witnessed by others (esp. sposie users!!) I usually pack my Foxybots prints as they always get noticed and people are so surprised by their softness and how cool they look!
Does anyone else have a 'show-off' nappy and if so, what is it?
Vic xx

I have sooo many, it depends on what they're wearing. Their custom Baby Harmony's are faves - one is pink with aqua fleece, the other in aqua with pink fleece and they have hot pink and baby pink candy snaps and applique butterflies on their butts.
I also love my Berry Plushes, esp the cheetah print ones.

Mine would be the gorgy tie dye purple velvet made by Skyflame for Sam's birthday but after that is the pink camo foxybot. Actually the minky ones in general are great 'show off' nappies!!
