Topic: Is it just me .... Posted: 05 March 2006 at 8:36pm |
or does the wait just seem to be forever. We are trying for baby # 2 at the moment and even though we are pretty relaxed about the whole thing I hate that last week of my cycle which seems to drag on forever. Then you think, oh I am late! I might be! But no!
That feels better! Thanks for letting me vent my frustration! LOL

After being on the Depo I am WAITING (impaitently) for my period so I can work out my cycle!! So in that respect I know the frustration in waiting!! Good luck for TTC!

Yep, although I found some cycles really dragged while others weren't so bad.
Lizzle is right about the pregnancy dragging on too. I have my first scan on Friday and right now that seems a million years away!

5w6d. But I ended up in the hospital with some bad cramps yesterday so they have moved the scan forward to today at 1pm. So it will be too early to see a heartbeat, but the doc wants to make sure that bubs is in the uterus where he/she should be and they should be able to see a fetal pole (baby) too so fingers crossed!

Hi Bonz !!
I know EXACTLY what you mean ...I am in the middle of cycle 9 since coming off the pill (TTC No. 1). I am trying to be relaxed and trying not to be negative. I keep saying to my husband "if we get pregnant" and he just looks at me and says "when". I feel a bit resigned to getting my period each month, but I still get hopeful, and then disappointed. The other thing is, when you're TTC, there seems to be babies and pregnant women EVERYWHERE! Damn hormones :-)
(BTW - Good luck Emma. I have fingers crossed for you)

Yes i agree with the pregnancy dragging bit. I have a while to wait for the big beautiful belly !!! and about 5 months to go before the baby arrives 168 sleeps to go ....and the difference between me and most people is that i didn't find out until i was 11 weeks so i don't really have as long as others

I am with you Simmone, but we have only been trying for one unsuccessful month. I was so disheartened when AF arrived (not to mention it was on our wedding anniversary) so I can only imagine how you are feeling 9 months down the track. Have you started temp taking or O testing?

Hi Sarah
I started temp taking this month. Everything looks about as it should. I haven't been monitoring cervical fluid yet - might start that next month. But, the way my temps look this month, and the fact that AF is pretty regular (to within a couple of days), it suggests that I am definitely ovulating, so who knows? Must just be the timing! I must say though, that if I hear "it'll happen when it happens" once more, there will be murder committed

I know what you mean! It is quite frustrating, especially when you hear of people falling pregnant by accident all around you. I am sure I read somewhere that you only have a 25% chance of conceiving and the baby sticking, the odds are not in our favour, but by that logic also, I figure it should happen after 4 months
