My tops are just about too small for my bump now - I didn't have this problem last time until the 8th month or so! I'm 18 weeks now, and it is starting to get COLD! I really feel the cold so need something really warm - and I know merino is warm, but not enough by itself.

Has anyone seen some really warm stretchy jerseys (cheap please!) around lately? Glassons, JayJays etc?

What if you had some long singlets or merino tops to wear under your normal tops? I got some singlets from JK for $25 each when I was preg with the gremlins and they helped me get a good few extra months out of my normal tops without my belly poking out.

The JK online outlet shop was good for me when I was preggo with Benjy. I got some nice long sleeved maternity Tshirts and a really nice wool jumper for about $60 all up.
TradeMe is quite good for maternity gear too.

Meanie Ana!

Emma, the problem is that they are all too tight! I love my polarfleece to lounge around in during winter but they area only just stretching over my belly lol

I think I'll check out some shops next week - would prefer to try things on before I buy them to make sure they fit (thanks for the offer Mel )

Also check out supre...although a little despressing when you have to buy their XXL. Kmart and Warehouse are also good at the mo and have lots of long winter tops some also have teh seam under the bust with extra material which is always good.

I got thru winter being pregnant by buying several of the long boob tube tops from Glassons - they always seem to have them in stock as a standard basic item. Meant that area around your hips/kidneys/belly was covered and you could still wear your normal tops. Layers are your friend!
Mobea (online store) does some merino stuff, although I think they're pretty expensive for the quality of the clothing/fabric they fit really well.

I can bring round some maternity stuff if ya want it - I had a winter pregnancy.

I have a pair of pants that are were uncomfortable as hell (and unhemmed ) so you are welcome to do what you want with them to make them more comfy!

And I have a few tops.

Otherwise if you need clothes that are in a slightly larger size from your usual then you are welcome to borrow anything from me!

Umm Nikki you are smaller than me anyway!
But thanks I might be able to buy some things off ya if you've still got a few things. I got so sick of my clothes last time that I chucked them all out!

Try JustJeans as well. The style of wintery tops this year is open with a button at the top. Hope that makes sence. Anyway, it means your belly can poke right through, but your arms, back and chest will be kept woolly warm.

Really reasonable prices too.

I am finding this year (I am still pretty little) that the fashion is quite well suited to preggy ladies. Got a couple of good things from Glassons that will work till reasonably late in the preg.

Good luck!

I have the same trouble so have invested in a couple of mens hoodies from the Warehouse. I can also wear layers under them and it doesnt matter if my undertops are a little short cos the hoodies cover the gap.I will pass them onto DH when I have finished with them.

I also bought a belly belt to help cover the gaps with short tops. I know that I am going to outgrow all my maternity clothes with this twin pregnancy!
