Don't stress about it too much, she will get into it when she's ready. The gremlins showed signs of being ready from about 4 mths but they never really took to solids that well at all. At 9 mths they were still only having 1/2 a jar each per feed. I've found as they've gotten older tho they much prefer finger foods so we work around that.

I wouldn't stress about it either...keep offering her the solids but if she refuses try not to make too big a deal out of it.

Daniel went through stages of this. We would try, if he clamped his mouth shut we would give him a piece of food to chew on if he wanted and try again in a few minutes. If he still clamped his mouth shut we would leave him to it with finger foods. Eventually he would get over it. We found if we tried to force him the stage would last longer and it never got us anywhere anyway.

Yip I agree... try not to stress about it. Some babies just take longer to get into solids. Alex took a long time too. Even now he prefers a bottle of milk over proper food! Just keep trying, but if she refuses don't force it. It's not worth having her scream the house down!! She will try it in her own time. Good luck!!

If you can, after she has taken all she will from you, give her the bowl and spoon to play with. it makes a hell fo a mess, lol, and goes everywhere so there are days you won't want to do this, but if you can handle the mess it actually helps a lot. Lily still sometimes has to be given the bowl when she has had enough, she manages to pick up a fair bit now and shove it in. Also, are you going lumpy rather than puree? If not, go for that, it makes it easier fro them to hand eat the stuff - being over 6 months from the start means you don't need to have it pureed, mashing would be fine (if you are making it yourself).
Here is Lily yesterday finishing off her lunch after only eating half.

When I first started Cooper on solids he did the exact same thing. Don't force the issue. Just have a break from it for say a week and try again. We are on to try number 3 with Cooper.

I trick Cohen by giving him smoothing to play with - just as he opens his mouth to mouth it I shove s small spoonful of food in - usually he is pleasantly surprised and lets me do it a few more times.
Its not a great fix, but does help to get them to at least taste it. We are struggling with Cohen too, he takes only two to three tablespoons twice a day so the milk bar is working extended hours at the moment.
Otherwise Cohen does love that tommee tippee holder than you can put fruit into so they can suck it and get the flavour but can't bit any off - I think he will be a finger feeder. He loves all kinds of fruit in that thing.
Good luck
The milk bar is actually open 24/7 which is why I had to edit this post as I can't spell my own baby's name
OMG is gets worse - smoothing

She mightn't be as hungry this week? At that age Kryssi flatly refused any food that wasn't meat based *rolls eyes* and it drove me nearly crazy til I figured it out cause I knew she was really hungry! Try finger foods for a change - rusks, soft carrots, toast/bread fingers - and see if that makes a difference.
