Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this before.. I will go to the doctors but just curious in the meantime...

I have finished my period about a week ago now and suffering horrible sharp burning pain in left peliv region close to pubic bone...

It comes and goes and sometimes gone for days and comes again and some times each pain will last a few minutes.  Sometimes it gets unbearable and have to sit and kneel over...

It reminds me of period pains but 10 times worse...

Thanks ladies..

Ive had my recent smear test and came back with abnormal cells but cant be too much as I dont go back for 6 months for another smear...

Ow.. Does it feel like the after pains you get after giving birth? Or is a different kind? I would definitely get it checked out if it's concerning you.

It is highly likely that it is a cyst on your ovary in preparation for ovulation. We all actually get one every month with ovulation but some months they are bigger and more uncomfe. Most cysts resolve themselves within 3 mths. Hopefully nothing at all to worry about/

FWIW, I've had a constant, 24/7 pain on my lower left side for about 4 years now. I've had surgery 3 times to check it out and it is apparently a complete medical mystery. The human body can be strange sometimes. In my case I think it is a bowel issue as it gets worse when I'm stressed. The upper left corner of your bowel is actually a very narrow bend and hence if you get stressed, it can cause the lower left side to get achey. Many people with Irritable bowel get sore there when stressed.

Oh my gosh thank you so much Fiona that answer's so many question's I knew the pain I got alway's worse when stressed or needing to go number 2's was related, but never really thought other's got it too I thought I was just not normal.    I have had it worst lately and keep having to remind myself it is not baby related so there is no need to run to the loo evey 5 min's to check for bleeding etc.
