DH bought me some Panadol Rapid Soluble - it says on the packet it's suitable for breastfeeding mothers, is it ok to take while pg? Got a headache that just won't go away

TIA

Yes it should be fine so long as it doesn't have caffeine in it or any anti inflammatory substances. I took panadol tablets whilst pg the gp said that paracetamol is the only thing you should take.

Yes you can. I always went for the lowest dose to be on the extra-cautious side.

Ahh, I don't think you're supposed to take the rapid stuff? As it, like lemsip max, has an ingredient in it to speed up the effectiveness that isn't all too good? I would check with your mw cos I was told not to take anything 'rapid' or 'max. Normal panadol is fine, and codeine is fine too during pg (as I just found out, woohoo! No more uncontrollable back pain!)

I was told by GP to only take normal panadol.  I had an ear infection and was only taking 1 tablet and she told me to take 2 every four hours it was totally safe for the baby - that was when I was 16 weeks.

Cheers everyone, in the end I went to bed and tried to sleep it off because I wasn't 100% sure that the stuff we had would be safe to take. Going to go out and get some regular Panadol though that's for sure!
