Topic: Anyone have an LG mobile phone? Posted: 04 September 2007 at 8:36am |
My mum's overseas and is having trouble finding the + button on her LG phone! Basically, when I send her a text, she can't reply because it comes up saying it's an incorrect number because it doesn't have the +64 in front of it.
I have no idea of the model of the phone but it's a few years old and is a flip open variety. Any ideas?
Actually, come to think of it, does she need that + symbol?

Well, the + stands for two numbers, not sure if it's the same in each country. For instance, calling out of NZ you would replace the + with 00 then the rest of the number. What country is she in? You could probably figure out what digits need to replace the + by looking on the online phone directory for that country?
HTH!

I can text her fine by just putting in her normal number with no prefix at all, but she has trouble replying.
She's in America. When I rang her in London, the prefix was 00 as well, so it's likely to be the same in America. I'll get her to try it. Thx!

Yep if she was calling from a landline she would have to call 0064 and then 4 and then the rest of your number (4 for Welly)... so it would sound right that she has to dial 0064 before your number.

She has no trouble calling our landline, it's just the texting number she can't work out! She's really not the most technologically-sound person hehe oh well, she's home on Saturday morning so not long to go. Apparently, Ashlee's all sorted for this summer, clothes-wise, so I'm looking forward to seeing the goodies she's bringing back!

I don't know that type of phone, but try getting her to push the * button twice, quickly. That is how I found the + on the phone I was using in America

Yeah, from the picture I just googled of the phone, that should work
Oh yeah, and when she replys, make sure she leaves out the 0 at the beginning, so it's like this:
+6421590276 or whatever the number is, depending on whether you have vodafone or telecom.

This blog post is about LG mobile phones. Question has been asked also about mobile phones and numbers that if anyone check this link to get 0161 numbers and cNumber best for all of us. This is because LG is not manufacturing the mobile phones since long ago and people are using their previous models.
