Topic: more questions! Posted: 22 August 2007 at 9:47am |
Seening as you guys were so great explaining things to me yesterday heres another question for you:)
I am home sick today as I have a cold and anyway was having a shower and felt my stomach tighten and further down (not sure exactly where maybe utereus) tightened too...it lasted about 30 sec in stomach and 1 min further down.. any idea what it could be ? I heard BH but it's too early for that and it freaked me out, and this is my first baby though secodn pregnancy this year)..any ideas appreciated..!:)

I got BH from about 16 weeks with my second pregnancy.
They start happening around 6 weeks. Most women don't notice them until 20 weeks or later, but it's not unusual for women to start noticing them from their 3rd month.
(I'm quoting from my pregnancy book here )
I always got them in the shower too!
I don't think its anything to worry about, its certainly not too early and I guess having lost a baby earlier this year, you'd be more aware of your body than other mum's who haven't?
Hope this helps chicky, and I hope you're feeling better soon!

Sounds like BH. I get this funny feeling that baby is stretching her legs out straight and pushing as hard as she can. Tummy feels really tight and hard for about 20secs. Not sure if that is BH but is that what it feels like? I would also like to confirm that that is what I feel.

I started getting BH from 17 weeks. I even remember waking once in bed after having them and looked at my stomach and could actually see my whole uterus had moved from one side to the other...felt really weird

Yep I'd say BH. Apparently they start really early (like as soon as you preggy almost) and it just depends on the woman when/if you feel them. At my 12 week scan I was getting them but had no idea! You could see the uterus scrunch up

Ours was trying to get a profile shot for our 4D pics so I kept having to roll from side to side and cough to get her to move into the right spot, but she wasnt having a bar of it by then, but we got a shot of her sleeping on the placenta in the same position her Dad sleeps in! It was adorable!
