Topic: Hi I'm new here :) Posted: 30 May 2013 at 5:54pm |
Hi there everyone, My Fiance and I have decided to try for our second baby. This is my first time trying for a baby as our 3 year old was a surprise! Any hints and tricks etc would be helpful, this is our first full month of trying, had my copper IUD out mid last cycle. Taking folic acid and iodine and have downloaded a multitude of apps to my phone to track ovulation etc.

Welcome nervousmama I hang out in a few threads.. TWW, the charting girls and TTC#1 under 30.. I also lurk in The Inbetweeners 30-40yrs and put my 2 cents in there when I feel the need (because I'm nearly 30.. But just not quite) There's so much you can do.. Charting, OPKs etc.. But its all up to you, you might decide to just "see what happens" for the first few months.. But just chat with us girls, read these forums and see what feels like the right approach for you! Good luck TTC#2 xx

thanks guys :) We are on a "timeline" so to speak. Getting married early 2015 and I don't want to be a pregnant bride. If nothing happens this round then I think I'll get some of those ovulation predictor thingys. Will go poke my nose around in a few threads thanks! Oh and what does TWW mean :D

Hey Nervousmama, I'm new to this as well. My fiance and I have just stopped using protection this last month and are hoping to conceive before Christmas as we have started making wedding plans for early 2015 as well. Its kind of good as the wedding planning gives me something else to focus on

We got engaged Feb this year :) we wanted to enjoy being engaged but also don't want to delay trying to conceive as I'm 35 in July, so we're hoping to have a little person by the time the wedding rolls around. I'm addicted to pinterest too! I'm actually trying on dresses tomorrow just for fun as the trying for a baby makes it pretty hard to get that bit sorted!

its just the first couple of posts it will show your real name, then change. it just takes a bit for your user name to load :) also nervous TWW is two week wait. there is a thread as the start of each section that explains acronyms.

Hi Nervous - and welcome! I only joined a wee while ago too and my dear husband [DH] and I are trying for #1, month 2 trying to conceive [TTC]. I've begun charting and also take folic acid + iodine. However, as my mum always used to say, sex every second day will cover you! hahaha

West is right, I totally don't want to be "that friend" (or that partner) whose obsessed with everything 'baby' and 'fertility' related... So this outlet is a saviour! I'd drive my partner mad!! And my friends!!

Hi there, I'm new here too :) Was on an American one but then found this one! I got my Jadelle removed & weeks ago currently on day 17 of cycle I too am impatient! Wish it would all just happen now! Haha My son (now 5)also was a welcome surprise so Im new to the whole cycle days and counting and what not! Also getting married on 5th october - not bothered about being a preggers bride though cos we are having a relatively casual shebang haha I think its going to take me a while to get used to these forum things!

Hey Jess, welcome. Congrats on the upcoming wedding, exciting stuff! I find the planning of that takes my mind off Trying To Conceive, which is helpful as I tend to get stressed out over stuff I cant control!
