Topic: Strange Question for Baby Wearers... Posted: 07 February 2011 at 4:18pm |
If you have your baby in your Moby/sling/carrier and they are asleep, what do you do when you need to go to the toilet?
Do you just go with them in the carrier?

Hasn't happened to me, but I'm sure I'd just leave her in there if it was that urgent.

Yep, just took her in there with me. For me it was more when I was out and about on my own and there was no option. I can still remember using the toilet on the plane with her in the manduca. As if they're not cramped enough as it is

If you have a moby on make sure you tuck your tails in so they don't dunk

Just made sure I tucked up any loose straps first, and found it easier to do in a squatting position rather than sitting right down

Exactly!
I prefer DS in the back pack or sling when I'm on the toilet, at least that way he's not:
a) shoving his head between my legs to get a closer look
b) ripping off little shreds of toilet paper and dropping them into the loo (sometimes I need to stop midstream so I don't wet him )
c) trying to grab the toilet brush

If you have a buggy / stroller you will either use the disabled toilets or the parents toilets (if there is one), so you can take the buggy in with you. Its much easier if they are contained...mine likes to touch the sanitary disposer unit....and I am constantly sitting on the toilet trying to get him to "not touch" anything!!!

Hehe yep, or in the mall when she's on my back and I can't be bothered putting her down then back up again I just go with her sitting on my back lol (can be kinda embarassing when she tells the whole room mama's going wees, but she would probably do that if she wasn't being carried too )

I use the parent and child toilet, or go into the mums room.
And yes I go to the loo with baby on, its harder when they're on your back though just have to bend over a bit more.
