I know there's been a thread about fun apps for kids but DH is adamant C won't be going anywhere near my new phone

So what are some cool (preferably free!) apps that you use for YOU??

TIA

I'm on mine at the moment! Apps I use the most are Facebook, Worldview, Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, To Dos, YouTube, Google. My fave games at the moment are Trace, Sunday Lawn, Icy Escort, Fuzzle, WordPops, Boxed In. They're all free. I have only bought a few that I have tried out as lite versions first but tend to stick with the freebies. Then there are the weird fun ones like light saber and bubble wrap etc.

The app store is great. I always look at the ratings and read the comments and often download a whole heap and might delete them straight away if they are rubbish! Have fun.

MyFitnessPal is an awesome calorie/exercise counter, it has heaps of NZ foods already in the database. I'm not sure about Singapore. I recently lost 7 kgs by using it.
I use Runkeeper Free when I am walking as it uses gps to track where I walk and how far.

Consume I use to track my flybuys, onecard, broadband usage, mobile usage...

AllRecipes AU for recipes

For timewasters :

- AngryBirds
- Train Conduct
- iAssociate 2
-Balloonimals

Oooh I have so many apps I have to keep them in groups now

Ones I use daily -
WhatsApp, facebook, stuff, financial times, epicurious (recipes), weighttrack and target weight. Will check out those other ones too tishy, thanks! I've got iWorkout lite and yoga trainer lite but haven't used them yet. Sleep cycle is interesting too.

My fave time wasters, especially when I'm feeding -
Bejeweled, plock, geared, angrybirds, mr aahh

I also check out the top free apps on the app store a couple of times a week.

Audiobooks is also good, I used that a bit when I was pregnant. I've also got a free AF tracker called iPeeriod free (i think) but - yay - don't need it at the moment.

iLoader lite is good for putting multiple pics onto FB as well.

It wasn't free (maybe around $3) but it's so worth it, Where's Wally is my favourite app!!

I also have a few good recipe ones and a shopping list app which is fantastic seeing as I usually write lists and forget to bring them with me. You can cross the items off as you go.

Trademe now have an app which is great.

Will have to look through my phone to see what else I've got

My favourite timewaster is Plants vs Zombies but I could easily play for days. Best $5 I ever spent in the App store.

Then, Sleepcycle, Trademe, Stuff, ShopShop, Vodafone (tracks my bills), Whatsapp, Facebook, Skype, Dictionary, Dropbox, Genius Scan, PS Express, Angry Birds, Balloonimals (kids), Cut the Rope and BIGFOOT (kids)

Depends on whether you want to buy the same apps/music or not.

If you do then having 1 account would make more sense.

DH and I have completely different interests in apps (and separate computers) so we just have separate accounts.

And yes the data downloaded when using apps is taken out of your contract amount. Currently Vodafone have a long term special of 3gb per month which would be next to near impossible to reach.

you can set your ipods/phones to manually update instead of automatically, then you can pick and choose which songs you want.

ok where is the thread for kid's apps?? I can't find it!

EA are having a sale at the moment, all their games are only $1.29. I got Monopoly, that's pretty addictive. Boggle is good too.
