Topic: longies photos! Posted: 16 May 2008 at 7:32pm |
Here are a couple of pics of my finished longies, which I lanolized and put on Leo tonight on top of a Bitti Boo fitted. They look so cute on and were dead easy to knit - I've even bought some more wool to make another pair!

p.s. I'm not very good at attaching photos so please let me know if you can't see the pics.

The above link was the pattern I used. Click on the downloadable PDF file for full, printable instructions. I used the pattern using straight needles, instead of circular needles

I used Cleckheaton Country Colours - it's a blend of navy, brown & grey. I've just bought some more of the same wool but in a blend of greens & navy. It's not cheap ($6.50 per ball! ) but it's such lovely wool and the colours are gorgeous.

I used bought 4 balls to make the large size and used nearly all of it (2 balls per leg, 1 ball in the first 80 rows up to your stitch markers). It was nice to get to the end and not have any wool wasted!

That's only $26 of wool NZpiper! Longies are more like $40 esp in toddler size. Tom might need less wool at his size anyway?

kmart has 25% off wool at the moment and some really nice colours that ended up being $3.50 per ball.
