Hrmmmm.... gingerale?

Crackers beside your bed in the morning?

Sea sickness bands?

Sips of water?

Lemonade iceblocks?

Try the sea sickness bands, you get them from chemist.
Make sure you're always eating, so that you don't have a chance to get hungry (I know it can get to be a real drag but I promise it won't last for too long!)

Lemonade iceblocks helped me too, buy some of those mini ones that Popsicle make.

Sucking on a hard lollie might help too.

I always found my sickness got worse if I was too tired or too hungry.
I abandoned dinner for about 6 weeks and just snacked throughout the evening on whatever appealed. Sometimes it was just plain rice or toast with marmite.. Sometimes just fruit salad. Sports drinks were good too, powerade or mizone waters were my favs.
If you're tired after work, can you get DH to take care of making dinner for him and Zaara while you just relax for a bit?
Another thing that helped was sucking on hard lollies, like barley sugars or peppermints. They kept my sugars up a little so the nausea wasn't so bad.
I hope it gets better for you chick, if it gets too extreme you can go see your Dr for meds to help as well.

Aww I know how you feel I had terrible all day sickness, I felt like spewing everyday for 3 months I only actually threw up twice, but I came close several other times! I felt like crying the whole time aswell.

Ummm the things that seemed to help me was, nibbling on crackers with some peanut butter on them, my MW suggested this cos peanut butter is protein? and it helps to stop you throwing up. I found salty chips helped and ice cold water.
Also DONT let yourself get too hungry cos it just makes it worse .
Ginger made me feel worse as did the preggy pops...

I hope you find something that helps you **hugs** morning sickness is the pits!

ETA- And the sea bands, I wore them at work and found they helped a little and at night aswell.

Oh yeah, I craved salt and ate lots of hot chips
I remember someone saying that you should just go with what your body is telling you to eat - don't worry too much about trying to eat all the things you're "meant" to. Vegetables made me feel like throwing up, so I just ate what I wanted to.

Oh no Roksana, I feel your pain I really do 28 weeks and still throwing up here...

I lived on lemonade iceblocks for the first few weeks, because you have to suck them slowly the fluids and sugars are absorbed more slowly so more likely to stay down. I also found preggy pops didn't help with the nausea but they tasted yummy and were a distraction, but I'd say plain old lollipops would do the same job.

Oh and I had trouble drinking plain water, it made me feel bloated, so I drank Ribena and watered down juice to keep my fluids up.

If it gets really bad, see your GP or midwife coz there are things they can prescribe that do help.

Vegetable made me want to spew aswell, the smell of them and the texture Blahhh

Bland foods are the best, ones that dont have a strong taste or smell but will still fill your tummy enough so its not churning on itself.

The seabands seem to help me at night. I also keep a granny smith apple (or 2) on hand to nibble on whenever I can.
But everyone has different things that help.
I would suggest eating whatever you feel like, if you can keep it down, eat more!
At 6-7 weeks LeSnaks and lemonade popsicals were my best friends.
I hope it doesn't last too long for you hun, it's a horrible feeling.

My morning sickness last time round lasted the whole  pregnancy, was still being sick while in delivery!! This time its mostly finished now at 22 weeks. I found hard lollies to suck on really helpful both times and tried the bands this time and I think they helped as well. My friend is 12 weeks and for the last few weeks she has been up sick most of the night and has been a wreck. She found if she didn't eat after 5pm then there was nothing really to throw up and that made it a bit easier.

Good luck, hopefully it will pass soon.

Oh Roksana I am with you on that front - I was up all night Monday and wee hours of Tuesday throwing up. It turns out though that I have a gastric bug causing it and it's not related to the pg.

My hubby made me promise to go and get checked out by our GP who confirmed the bug and also that baby was fine. I am now on anti-nausea pills and some disgusting liquid which helps a little but generally only gives a couple of hours of rest before feeling like throwing up again. The only light is that if it's a bug it will run itself dry - theoretically.

If it keeps going I'd get to your GP too and just make sure it's not something non-pregnancy related. :)

Take care if you can!

Thanks Guys,

We are going food shopping on Friday and I will make a list of all these things to buy!! I take my hats off to all of you that went thru this all day and whole pregnancy!! I couldnt do it!!!

Mel: DH was sooo good yesterday, he told me to go an lay down for a while while he gave Zaara her dinner (which he cooked). And looked after her while I was throwing up and just wishing I could hide in a corner!!!

DH has been amazing about this pregnancy so far...lets hope he continues to be as supportive.

MS, NS & ADS sucks!!!!

They sure do suck
Mine came back a little when I got to 28 weeks aswell but seemed to go again at 31 weeks!
The joys of pregnancy huh! The only thing that kept me going was knowing that I felt sick for a good reason!

Frozen apple juice was about the only thing I could stomach.

You poor thing, MS is just the worst thing in the world

The only thing that helped me in the slightest was Maxolon - anti nausea medication.

Big hugs

Glad you're feeling better! I def don't miss that. I had 24 hr nausea until about week 13 but only threw up twice (and that was from food poisoning). I didn't eat meals as I needed to snack constantly. At night I found it was because I was hungry and would often wake up and make a white bread sandwich to keep me going (or wake up DH and send him!!). Also grazed on salty pretzels, peaches, mandarins, nectarines, cereals like weetbix & meusli and quite often chips ( ). I drank watered down ribena, fresh ginger infused in hot water and litres of cold water. I thin kthose were the main foods that helped me, seems so long ago now!
