DD has loved her dummy since day 1 and still loves her 0-3 month size dummy, problem is that she is refusing to take the next size up dummy.
I try to put it in her mouth and she just spits it out straight away. Any ideas of what I can do because I know that if she continues with the 0-3 month dummy it will ruin her teeth when they finally come through (DD is 71/2 months). Any advice would be awesome:)
I'm with MissAngel.....by boy is 1 and his favourite 2 dummies are the first 0-3 month ones, even after I softened the new ones....so I jsut go with it
We used the 0-3 months until about 15 months and mummy thought she left it at home when we went away and got a bigger one - we have had no issues with the teeth. She still gets the smaller ones in her month now and then and we have had no issues.
where did you hear 0-3 mth dummies would ruin teeth if used on older babies??????
My DS would take any dummy but still, I've never heard of such things.
Though I was told the other day that part of the reason dummies have such a bad rep is because they DID used to be bad for teeth - way back when. Of course all the modern dummies are orthodontic (sp) approved.
I didnt hear it anywhere I experienced it first hand my son's front teeth were pushed forward and I was told by plunket that using the small dummy was the reason. Maybe I was misinformed....
I tried softening the big dummy last night and she took it so yay success.
