How old does baby have to be before you can put them in a buggy and go running with them? Itake it they ahave to support their neck first for starters??

If they are laying flat I wouldn't imagine it would be a problem from any age. Just make sure their head is supported and they are secure and baby will be fine.
I ran with my boy from about 7weeks. I couldn't think about running before then with all the stitches and all.

I think it depends on what kind of buggy/stroller you have. I have a Mountain Buggy and used to run with my little girl in the carry cot attachment when she was really little so she was lying completely flat.
I think from what I read that you are supposed to wait till they are 6 months old, and you are also supposed to make sure they have neck/head support as well.
Good luck with your running! I was suprised when I first started how hard it actually is to run while pushing a stroller. It looks easy but it takes a bit of getting used to.

Gosh I can't remeber when I started running with DD, but I did run my butt off with her as she was a Summer baby so it was nice weather for it!
I have a MB and just always had her lying down flat.
I also agree its blimmin hard work to run with a buggy! Its even harder now that she weighs over 15kgs but I figure its gotta be doing me some good!!

I tried running not long ago but (OT) my boobs just couldnt handle the jarring it. I have to run holding them so wont be doing that again until ive finished BFing.........
I wouldntve thought of asking about an age to start running cos i wouldnt imagine the pram/buggy or stroller should be changing its movement from either running or walking since its got wheels.........does that make sense

Running with a buggy is ass lol... Its better once you get the hang of steering one handed.
But agree with the boob comment although if you wear a bra and then a supportive sports crop top over top it makes running better. I've got massive boobs so running hurts any time with just a bra but its ok with something else on over top.

Yeah I was going to suggest that you try wearing a couple of bras that;s what a lot of woman I met at baby and you did when they first started running. Also if your BFing try feeding baby before you go and emptying them so to speak

Chickielou I think the recommended age thing is coz when you are running you tend to hit curbs, cracks, potholes etc a bit harder and with more force so bubs can bounce around a lot more than if you are walking. My sister's mate (male) has run with his boy in the stroller for about 3 years and says that the jarring from running warped the stroller after a while and they had to get a new one. I think running with a stroller puts more pressure on the frame and thats why most (except mountain buggys and the top end phil & teds I think) are not recomended for running.

I used a head snuggler like you put in the capsule, or can pad around with a long towel. Just offers some support. I wore my old running bra which is a coupla sizes too small and yes always fed before going. Make sure tyres are fully pumped as its bloody hard if they are not.

I too have the sore boobs issue, but have found wearing a normal bra and then I wear my old sports crop top that I had before I got pregnant over the top - its about two sizes too small, so holds everything in nicely lol - that's for playing hockey at least. As for running with the pram, went for my first decent long walk with the pram today and that was hard enough lol, I had visions of being out there running within days or weeks of baby being born, here I am three months later and just getting into walking! I do have a mountain buggy (and must pump up the tyres), but its hard to run and hold a buggy!
I read that you should wait till about 4 months when baby has good head control, one of those capsule inserts is probably a good idea though

I do the bra and the crop top/sports top thing just for walking and thats enough but its not enough for running.......will have to try Myonlineselfs way and do the top thats too small.....the ones i have now fit nicely and firmley but i think i need to almost be suffocating my boobs with the crop top to feel secure. \
My WII makes me do a fair bit of running but its on the spot so i run with both hands holding the boobs......must look a sight
