Topic: Af Question Posted: 18 March 2010 at 2:44pm |
Hi Girls
Thought Id post this in here
I got AF on the 17th Feb, bang on time as usual, then on the 1rd March I got some random bleeding, like a light AF, but red blood and it lasted maybe 3 days.
So mny AF was due yesterday going by the 17th date. Do I go by original date seems as that was smack bang on time(28 days) or do I go by the random 3 days AF???
Edited-Sorry I meant to type 1st March

that's a hard one - I think you'll just have to wait and see what happens...depends what ya hormones are doing... Have you had unexpected bleeding like that before? are you breastfeeding?

I'd go by the first AF... the second bleed sounds like a bit of a break-through bleed....

Freckle, I am only BF'ding once a day and sometimes not at all, and Ive never had bleeding like that before, it was very random.
Wishin41, I think it would be too early for breakthru bleeding..?
With both my kids I bled in the first 6-8 weeks, and also had a m/c before Caden.
I dont feel UTD though, apart from peeing like a cow lol, but I get that before AF anyways..
ETA- Going by my ovulation calender thing, my AF is 2 days late(going byt the 17th)

I recently started having random bleeding here and there and gynae reckons it's a hormonal imbalance... so could be that BFing is still effecting ya hormones...
Some people get a little bit of spotting with ov but sounds like it was more than that...
I would think it was way too early for an implantation bleed...but maybe do an HPT to be sure...
golly I dunno... confusing

Yeah true, could well have been from a fluctuation in your hormones...

Sounds like break through bleeding which can happen every now and then apparently. I suppose it is possible that it has also made your period late.

Yeah could be the hormones I guess! I will test just incase...but Im thinking its probably to do with hormones then.
Ive had regular AF's since I got Af back which was 4 nearly 5 months ago, they have always been bang on time and Bella hasnt been fully breastfed since she was 3 months old. Gah, I hate when the body goes out of wack!!

The bleeding was enough to have to wear a pad though, on the second day but nothing like my normal AF, and the first day it was basicly just when I wiped, and the heaviest it got was like red, but no.. "flow" as such, just a dribble(sorry thats go gross I know lol!)

I did an HPT(Discover to be sure it was accurate) and got a BFN, so I guess AF will come 28 days from the last one, so in 10 days time.
Thanks for for the responses :)
