Hi ladies!
I have just been reading about pre-conception acupunture, and wondered if anyone had actually tried it? and if so what you thought??
I have had 2 miscarriages recently, so am willing to give anything a try!!

Yes I am currently trying accupuncture! Have been having it for 8 weeks now every fortnight! It has made huge positive changes to my cycle and I feel so alive and rejuvenated when I have my sessions!
I go to Janine Cuff at MortherWell that specialise in Fertility, Women and Children.

Hi Kazza7,
My work colleague recently had a miscarriage and has started getting acupunture and she says it's great. He has heaps of advice to give her about the miscarriage and also things that are happening with her body.
I had a D&C 2 weeks ago after baby died at 11.5 weeks and am thinking of trying also.

I'm having it at the moment, had once a week for a month but I think it might be fortnightly from now on.
I think my kidney pulse was wonky, but not sure if kidney yin or kidney yang, I think it changed over the cycle.
Had a mc last year also, and am having a lot of luteal spotting - worked out I'm bleeding, in some form, for 2/3 of my cycle. Thats not changed in the last month however.
Am having the herbs too - infertility support (either 1 or 2) but not been very good at taking them, least of all an hour before eating. I took my BBT's in for the last few months too, she seemed interested in these
Acu is $60 for 45 mins, and herbs are $28 for about 3 weeks supply.
I had acu years ago for hayfever, and it did amazing things, so have been very hopeful for this for fertility

Hi, I have done acupuncture for fertility on two occasions. First time, I took the herbal tea, then swapped it to the herbal pills, plus acupuncture about every 2 weeks. Got a BFP after 3 months of treatment, but ended in early m/c.
Second time I took herbal pills and acupuncture for about 2 months, again fortnightly, and got a BFP, and she's now 20 months old.
In both occasions, I got the BFP's when I had stopped treatment for different reasons, but it seems the acupuncture and herbs got my body into a good place for conception. I have very short luteal phase normally, about 6-7 days, but wasn't charting at the time of either BFP, so can't confirm that it had increased this, but my cycles stayed the same length.
Definitely worth a try, possibly try for a few months, then have a break, then try again?

I did it for about 4 or so months before I got pregnant and think there were quite big changes in my charts from it. I also had a short luteal phase and it seemed to help increase it. I was also taking herbs, so possibly a combo.

Yup. Lost a baby at 5 weeks, had acupuncture during the 2 month wait till we could TTC. Got preggy straight away and have a big bouncy 11 month old to show for it! It's really not very sore and I found it very relaxing, plus slept really well when I had had it done that day.

I credit acupuncture as a big part of my BFP. I went to a guy on Sunset Rd called Vitalis - totally recommend him. I did IVF (which also was a big help after 2 and a half years of trying) but think that it worked first time because of my weekly acupuncture appointments.
