Topic: im going crazy Posted: 19 December 2006 at 8:51am |
when i fell pregnant with Rhiannon i was 1 day late b4 the thought crossed my mind that i could be pregnant...i was working full time and in a high stress job and it just didnt cross my mind.
now that im a sahm its plaquing my mind 24/7 and i cant seem to just not think about it.
af is due on saturday...roll on saturday so i will know one way or another...
I am trying to relax and not think about it....trying to stay super busy as well, but that is just resulting in me falling asleep early evening and dreaming about babies...i cant win...arrggghhh lol

For the first few months we were 'not not trying', I was very anxious for the couple of days leading up to AF, and then the time I was pregnant I didn't even realise it till I was a few days late!

Just try relax Kaz.
I think when you think about it too much you tend to work yourself up about it I know I do. Jsut try not to think about getting pregnant, try look froward to things like what you CAN eat and drink at xmas time and new years, then you never know it could just sneak up on you, me and NAthan never thought about getting pregnant, we wanted to but jsut thought if we do we do, and voila we got pregnant.
All the best, I hav all fingers and toes crossed for you guys

I know what you mean Kaz. I never needed to try for long but still, the AFs and BFNs from month to month even for a short time took me on such an emotional rollercoaster. I ended up testing right on the day or even a day or two early most times (what a waste but I needed it for my sanity!). Only if you did test now and got BFN there would be a constant nagging at the back of your mind that it's still possible because you're not due yet
The best thing for me was to get crazily busy for a couple of days - trying to forget - or better still, go out and visit a friend. Retail therapy is not so great cause you'll spend a heap!!

Kaz - one thing I will say is that you already have a child, which is proof positive that you can fall pregnant successfully, so that particular worry is not one you have to own which is an enormous blessing. Let yourself be comforted by that, and try not to stress yourself out. If it takes a couple of months, then think of that as a chance to save up a little extra money to buy some gorgous new things for the new baby, or to take a holiday with Rhiannon while she is still an only child ...or just enjoy treating yourself once a month when you know that you'll have an extra month's income before a baby is on its way.

Might just be late... but I do hope you get the bfp you're hoping for.
Just a thought, do you know (or are just guessing/hoping) that your body is in fact ovulating after Rhiannon? It took me a couple of months of TTC between Hannah and Briona, I don't think my body was quite ready (got preg when Hannah was 10mos).
All the best!
